Crabs are cool!

 Hello there. One of the things that I really enjoy is crabs. Not only do I find crabs to be enjoyable to eat but I also love to see crab items. A big part of the reason that I find crabs to be interesting is because I grew up in Maryland near the Chesapeake Bay.

The population and health of crabs have long been a point of interest in Maryland. A strong crab population provides a boost to the area providing jobs and financial benefits for the area. Recently the crab population in the Chesapeake Bay has shown signs of growth as evident by a recent report from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. 

Within the state of Maryland the crab has become an icon of the state. It is not uncommon to see magnets on cars which feature a crab covered in the state flag. Additionally, there are license plates which feature the blue crab. Summertime is huge from crabs in Maryland as they are a staple of gatherings.
